Translation

Clients may request translation services during intake. Upon request, a translators can accompany clients to medical appointments.

Translation is provided in three (3) dialects:

Ojibway
Oji-Cree
Swampy Cree

Transportation

Wequedong Lodge has a fleet of vehicles and offers its clients transportation for the following:

Arrivals
Departures
Medical appointments
Prescription pick up

Accommodations

Wequedong Lodge consists of 56 bedrooms with a total of 106 beds.

A specialized fire alarm system has been installed to assist the hearing impaired, where 10% of client rooms have been designated with hearing impaired devices.

Each room is equipped with a mini-fridge, locker, and satellite television.

Dining

Wequedong Lodge has a dining room seating capacity of sixty-four (64).

Weekly meal plan, which is compliant with the Canada Food Guide and is regularly reviewed by TBRHSC Renal Dieticians. Cooks prepare three (3) full course meals and two (2) snacks daily. Coffee and Tea is available 24 hours a day. Snacks and light meals are also available for late arrivals.

Clients and escorts provide dietary needs requirements during intake, which is then provided for cooks to prepare meals as necessary.
