Wequedong Lodge of Thunder Bay

Cancer Screening Research Project

Participating in a Research Interview

Clients staying at Wequedong Lodge will be invited to volunteer to participate in a one-on-one interview with the project coordinator while they are staying at the lodge.

In partnership with a few community sites, community members will be invited to participate in a one-on-one interview with the project coordinator.

First Nations men and women who are 18 years of age or older and live in the Northwestern Ontario region are eligible to participate in these interviews. We will be interviewing participants from different age groups and different communities to get a variety of input from the region.

The research team will also be approaching doctors, nurses, community health representatives, and health directors from some of the communities in the Northwestern Ontario region to recruit them to participate in a one-on-one interview for the project.

Participation in the research interview is completely voluntary. Informed consent will be provided by each participant before the interview takes place. Participants will receive a $25 gift card as a thank you for their participation.
